Because they are focussed only on signing people up for longer contracts, they really didn't make an effort. We are only in Narabeen for 1 month and 4 days. I'm full-time travelling fir nearly 2 years I have to some many other gyms around Australia. However, for the quality of the service and equipment which is provided this is worth it for me.ĭespite being a franchise, I would expect that there would be contractual obligations the owner is expected to meet for quality of service and equipment which should be a concern for Anytime management. I have relocated to another Anytime gym further away from where I live which is an inconvenience. Members of the gym expect a minimum level of service and support for which they are paying and this gym is not providing that. Equipment is run down, when broken it is not fixed ( an exercise bike has been out of action for over 3 months), there have been about 5 managers sin.
Over the last six or so months the owner of the gym has apparently been allowing the gym to run down in an attempt to sell it. On numerous occasions about the state of the gym and have been ignored despite their guarantee of a response. I have complained to the management of Anytime Fitness I have been a member of the Macquarie park anytime gym for a number of years. What a disgraceful, display of evil greed!!.

Clearly "caring for their customers" is purely based on profit margins and their financial gain no matter the cost, health or mental well being of their customers.Īnytime Fitness have left an extremely sour and bitter experience in my dealings with them, and will never recommend such a heartless money grubbing company/gym and will happily express my dealings with and steer away from signing up with Anytime Fitness. I have fallen on severe financial hardship in recent months, which has deeply affected my mental state of mind and well being, which I clearly have stated whilst contacting Anytime Fitness Armstrong Creek in Victoria to plead with them to cancel my membership under reasoning of said hardship, to only be met with their cliche, coached and generic responses of contractual obligations, which I have no financial capacity whatsoever to oblige in, and them asking for proof is a massive breach of my privacy and truly is stepping over the line in attac. Considering taking it further and then finding a different gym all together. The staff member I have this issue with has since moved to Anytime in Pyrmont (look out), but I still haven't been to Camperdown in months because I am still way too angry at the club. And knowing that there was so much lies and deceit involved with my sign up has left me with a real sour taste in my mouth. The Camperdown gym is absolutely tiny, not even worth going into. That girl that worked there would harass people into joining and then rob them. Honestly, I will never be joining Anytime again once this contract is over. And only then was I able to read it and see that the agreement was subject to a 7-day cooling off period. Not only that, she told me my membership contract would be emailed to me the following day. Then, I realised the maths was off and she tells me "oh, because you joined on a Tuesday, you actually had to pay the cost of this week, and then paid for Friday's installment as well."

Not only did I get stung with the full price of the joining fee, I paid a ridiculous amount for the key FOB and then had to pay a week's membership aswell. She turned the computer screen around and showed me the bits and pieces that she wanted to. I finally gave in because she made me so uncomfortable, and once I agreed, she wouldn't let me read over the full contract myself. Read more e number and find somewhere else.
My partner was also thinking about joining but Louisa would text him daily offering him other specials and (thank god) he was smart enough to block th. I mentioned multiple times I was only enquiring. Telling me that I'd get a special on the joining fee and trying to talk the membership up. The staff members name was Louisa, and she absolutely harrassed me into signing up. I was looking for a 24/7 so went into AF Camperdown to enquire about a membership. I have only been a member at Anytime for about 3 months and I only went for the first month.
